It appears that Obama's landslide is slipping away on the evening before the election. I have maintained that Obama's chances of victory are overrated for a long time. I've clung to this belief even in the darkest hours. I wondered if I was simply being stubborn, but...well, I am stubborn. I don't give up.
Fortunately, John McCain doesn't give up, either. And now, heading into the election, his numbers are rising as we learn how Obama wants to bankrupt Coal and its ancillary industries and send our energy costs through the roof. This from Mr. Redistribution. This from Mr. Tax Cut For The Middle Class. This from Mr. Energy Independence. Oh, wait. We will be independent from energy ...because we won't be able to afford it. Now I get it.
