Biden has provided the first "October Surprise" with his buckle-up if you vote for Obama warning. He basically said what has been in the back of everyone's mind: Obama will embolden our enemies.
In retaliation, Al-Qaida is getting into the mix: Their web sites are feigning support for McCain, claiming his policies will continue our economic turmoil--which furthers their nefarious plans. Muwahahahahah! Maybe the laugh wasn't really on the web site, but they may, indeed, have been twirling their mustaches between typing their posts.
So, you've heard it here first (unless you read the news item I just read): Al-Qaida supports McCain! And, to quote Biden, mark my words, listen, the main stream media is going to be talking about this A LOT tomorrow. Why? Because McCain is pretty much even in the national polls and closing in on the battleground states. Zogby has Colorado down to a one point race, as it is in New Mexico. Virginia is about a three point race right now.
For the coming landslide, this isn't looking too good for the newbie.
I said a long time ago that McCain would win this one. Not because he is 'all that' but because he has the experience. Obama is a fad that hasn't been properly vetted. I could be wrong, but I don't think this Al-Qaida gambit will work at all. Most will wonder--Why broadcast on web sites that you support McCain with two weeks to go to the election? What possible impact would that have? Hmmm. Just thinking out loud here--I'd say it might sink McCain's chances, meaning Al-Qaida is as anxious for a President Obama as, say, Chris Matthews or Mike Allen (of Politico).
