I Didn't Hear No Bell!

In the Rocky movies, Mickey stood in Rocky's corner telling him to keep going when all hope seemed to be lost.  One of the lines was, "I didn't hear no bell!"  Of course, this determination in the face of insurmountable opposition was extremely frustrating to the other side.  From Apollo to Drago to Dixon, Rocky stood up while the commentators regaled him with insults and derission.  Interestingly, the crowd would innevitably be drawn to his determination and begin chanting his name as he proved that he could take it all and still remain standing.

This election appears the same to me.  It is true that the media is always biased against the Republican candidate--it just seems more pointed this time.  It appears those in the media, the pundits or commentators, are doing a poor job of hiding their snears toward McCain, Palin, Joe the plumber, or anyone else who would have the audacity to question their candidate.

So, while the challenger has youth, energy and the backing of the powerful media, McCain has a solid position of experience, world-understanding, and wisdom that could only be purified under fire.  McCain hasn't been the most conservative in the Republican Party, but he hasn't been a big spending, high taxing socialist, either.

McCain can still win Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Ohio, and possibly New Mexico and New Hampshire.  If he takes those states, he'll win.

Taking a line from the most recent Rocky movie, it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit, how much you can take and keep movin' forward.  Keep movin' John, we haven't heard no bell!
