We are down to the final two weeks of one of the most important elections in recent memory. Our economy is in shambles, thanks in no small part to the liberal policies that encouraged bad lending practices without oversight. Our nation is a target for Islamic extremists and their part of the world controls the greatest oil supply. Our small businesses are struggling because of the credit freeze and people are losing their jobs.
We couldn't be facing more turmoil for a President to tackle.
In every race for the Presidency the polls typically tighten as election day approaches. This race will likely be no different. The numbers have been inflated to favor Obama, that much is clear. The folks at ACORN have done their best to introduce fraudulent ballots where they can. But, as evidenced by Mr. Obama's desire to capture the center-right, this country is not going to vote for a radical Socialist like Barak Obama.
While listening to Mike Gallagher this morning, I was hit by something he said--"we are in a fight." We are battling something greater than a simple election. The Bible tells us that we are fighting not with flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in high places. This is a spiritual battle. Every Christ Follower should be on his and her knees (figuratively or literally) praying for this nation.
Whether, by clear voting or by fraud, Barak Obama wins the Oval Office, Christians should continue to pray. There will certainly be dark days ahead. We need to be prepared for whatever is coming and we need to be faithful.
