What Matters to America

Last night Barak Obama tried to poison the well of John McCain by claiming the Arizona Senator wasn't "talking about" what concerned America.  Arguably, they both were talking about what should concern us, for better or for worse.

Americans should be concerned about a man with radical allies who have propelled him up the political ladder faster than any other candidate in modern times.  Americans should take into acount such radicals as Bill Ayres and Reverend Wright in light of the social agenda that Mr. Obama has outlined.  His "spread the wealth around" comment to a plumber who just wants to realize the American Dream reveals that Obama, like Kerry, like Gore, like every other democrat, believes in the redistribution of wealth from those who work hard and are successful to those who don't and aren't.

My sincere hope is that, like most of the time, American's will get this one right.  In the end, our fragile economy cannot withstand the added assault from Barak Obama's Socialist policies.  There is a reason why, despite our debt, the world economy rests on America's shoulders.  This gives us a greater responsibility not to follow Europe down the path of economic malaise, but rather restrain our government, pay down our debt and strengthen our dollar.

Finally, before voting this November 4th, Americans should just think about the fact that the economic crisis began because Jimmy Carter, then Bill Clinton, and the Democrats in congress felt it was "social justice" to give the American Dream of a home to those who had not worked hard to earn it.  Now, as a fix, Barak Obama thinks he should tax away the American Dream that is within grasp of hard working Americans who have earned it and "spread the wealth around."

Americans are concerned about such foreign solutions to our problems.
