William Ayres is Still Bombing!

What seems to get lost in the discussion of the seriousness of Barak Obama's friend and ally Bill Ayres is the clear and present danger he poses.  For many, the explanation that Mr. Ayres is simply a "guy in the neighborhood" seems valid.  Who among us would want to be charged with guilt by association for some loon that lives next door.

Of course, Bill Ayres is not simply a good neighbor who waves and chats over the fence.  Rather, he is someone closely aligned with Barak Obama in ideology and mission.  But the defense is misleading, while also plausibly innocent:  Bill Ayres and Barak Obama worked together on foundations for school reform.  Mr. Ayres, after all, is simply an educator.

The title of teacher or professor seems to imply that Bill Ayres has reformed his wild, youthful folly.  In fact, he has simply turned from designing bombs with nails and explosives to building a far more devastating bomb.  He has moved from threatening the flesh to threatening a vast greater number of minds and souls.

The ideology that drives men like Ayres and Obama is one of atheism.  They do not believe in a higher power, or our responsibility toward God.  They also do not believe, or so they profess, in sin nature, or our bent toward greed and evil.  To these revolutionaries, the utopia of Socialism and a unified State is held back by men who have been corrupted by their desire for money.  These rebels also believe, or claim to believe they are devoid of this marring desire.

Thus, they come across as peaceful men with a desire for a cleaner world and one in which all humanity lives with what they need rather than what they want.  And the only way to achieve this ideal, since most realize this utopia is a pipe dream, at best, is to force it by revolution.

Early in his life, Bill Ayres set bombs to force a violent revolution.  He has admitted he wished he did more.  But now he sets new bombs.  He plants them in the heads of young people out on their own for the first time.  He's molding impressionable students who see him, not as a domestic terrorist, but as a person of authority.

The danger is real.  Barak Obama did not ally himself with this man by some coincidence.
